PHP 4, PHP 5, PHP 7 and PHP 8 Support in Shared Web Hosting
With our Linux shared web hosting, you will be able to choose which PHP version will be enabled for your account, as several versions are activated on our servers. With only one mouse click, you’ll be able to switch between PHP 4, 5, 7 and each time a new version is unveiled in the future, we’ll include it in the Hepsia Control Panel without removing the previous versions. Thus, you’ll be able to host all the sites that you have built through the years. In contrast with many other hosting providers, we won’t compel you to update such sites, because a script may be out of date, but this doesn’t automatically mean that it’s vulnerable since you may have tweaked its code to fix security holes. For the sake of your convenience, you will even be able to choose a different version of PHP for each site that you host in your shared hosting account.
PHP 4, PHP 5, PHP 7 and PHP 8 Support in Semi-dedicated Hosting
Even if your websites were created with an older version of PHP, you’ll be able to host them in a semi-dedicated server account from us, since we support several versions running simultaneously on our semi-dedicated servers and each one of them can be activated for your account with no more than a click of the mouse through our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Besides the most recent PHP 8, we also offer support for 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4 and the older PHP 4. The latter has already been dropped by the great majority of hosting vendors, but we strongly deem that you should not be forced to modify a website that took several years to build, as older script language syntax doesn’t automatically equal safety weaknesses. Just the opposite, an adequately maintained website using PHP 4 can be more secure than a poorly maintained one using PHP 5. For the sake of your convenience, we will also give you the possibility to pick a different PHP version for each site within your account.
